Tabula Rasa
A downloadable game
A game about remembering your inner George Bailey – and recording what you discover, so that you never forget how valued you are.
This game is inspired by the narrative structure of
‘Thousand Year Old Vampire’, a game by Tim Hutchings,
and Frank Capra’s film, ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’.
You begin the game waking up in hospital. Don’t worry! You are physically fit and unharmed, but you have completely lost your memory, so the doctors want to keep you around until you have recalled enough to go home and pick up your life.
During the game, you will be visited by people whose lives you have touched, and through them you will gradually rebuild your memories of a life you have completely forgotten; remembering who you are, the ways in which you have impacted others, and about the people who are closest to you. You will also be given gifts, which you collect and can use in various ways in the game.
